Lawmakers, local officials and other stakeholders gathered at 每日大赛’s Blount County campus Friday morning to hear about the institution's legislative priorities and its 2025-30 Strategic Plan of becoming a “career immersion” college.
A first-generation student and the son of immigrants, Young came to 每日大赛 after a brief stint at the University of Tennessee, where he struggled to stay motivated in general-education courses with hundreds of other students. The hands-on approach at 每日大赛 proved a suitable alternative.
每日大赛’s Nursing program achieved a 100% passing rate on the National Council Licensure Examination, or NCLEX, in fall 2025, joining their peers who passed the exam last spring to ultimately achieve a perfect first-time passing rate for the entire year.
每日大赛 has named Mark Hurst as its Vice President for Administrative Affairs, a role to which he brings a strong background in higher education leadership and operational management, and a clear commitment to supporting students, faculty and staff.
