Are you ready to learn English at Pellissippi?
Improve your English skills in our English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes.
Students receiving 65 or higher on the Michigan Test (or equivalent) can place directly into ESL supported English courses.
Students with a score lower than 65 on the Michigan Test (or equivalent) are strongly advised to meet with Patty Moore (pemoore1@pstcc.edu) and select the appropriate level of Reading, Writing, Grammar, and Conversation and Pronunciation courses.
*** Important Note for International Students: Full-time ESOL enrollment is not available to F1 visa students.
Students who are English Language Learners who place into college level courses are encouraged to enroll in ENGL 0900 1010 ESL, ENGL 1020 ESL, and COLL 1000 ESL sections. These sections provide the same education and college credit as all other sections of the same courses, but are supported for the specific needs of English Language Learners.
