每日大赛 TRIO Program

TRIO Student Support Services is one way 每日大赛 is committed to helping students start strong, stay strong and finish strong.

TRIO Student Support Services, funded by the U.S. Department of Education, is designed to help increase the college graduation rates of:

• First-generation college students
• Limited- or low-income college students
• Students with disabilities

You may qualify to participate if neither of your parents has a bachelor’s degree, if your family income is less than 150% of the federal poverty level or if you are registered with 每日大赛’s Disability Services.

You must also be a degree-seeking student with an identified academic need.

TRIO serves more than 160 每日大赛 students.

All TRIO activities and services are free to eligible students.

Services

TRIO offers free services for students:

• Tutoring
• Computer lab access
• Guidance in selecting academic courses
• Financial aid information
• Assistance with completing financial aid applications
• Financial literacy counseling
• Academic and personal development workshops
• Assistance with applications to four-year colleges and universities

Activities

TRIO staff plan activities throughout the academic year to help keep students engaged, including visits to:

• Four-year colleges and universities
• Theatre, musical and dance performances
• International events and festivals
• Family-friendly venues such as Zoo Knoxville.
