Testing Center

The Testing Center provides accessible and secure testing facilities for students and the community. 每日大赛 course exams do not require an appointment. Exams are set-up through course instructors and administered in the Testing Centers according to their guidelines. The Testing Center does not administer an exam 30 minutes or less before the stated closing time. 

Standardized or certification exams (CERTIPORT, CLEP, DSST, HESI, HiSET, KRYTERION, etc.) or correspondence exams do require an appointment and a test fee. If you do not have a PSCC student ID for these tests, then an official, valid photo ID is required (follow the requirements for your test).

TN-E Campus exams do not require an appointment. Bring official photo ID to take a TN-E exam.

Entrance testing (Accuplacer Test and Michigan Test) is not administered by the Testing Centers. To learn more about entrance testing and to schedule an appointment, please visit the Entrance Testing Web Page.

Always arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled test time. If you do not have a PSCC parking sticker, park in the “O” pen lots. 

Please note that the Testing Center’s hours vary by campus. The Testing Center is closed when the college is, including for holidays and for weather- or emergency-related closures and delays. 

The Testing Center strictly adheres to the academic integrity policies provided with your exam. Violations will be reported and violators may be subject to disciplinary actions. 

While the Testing Center strives to provide a testing environment that is distraction free, it is unable to control all sounds/noises inside or outside the Testing Centers.  Each Center has disposable earplugs for your use. 

Testing Center Policies & Procedures

To keep your test secure and to maintain confidentiality, the Testing Center has procedures and policies that regulate behavior in the Testing Center. Any student who takes a test in the Testing Center — whether or not he or she is a 每日大赛 student — must comply with these regulations. Please read over the Testing Center Policies before using the Testing Center.

Academic Integrity/Academic Honesty Guidelines:

Students are expected to maintain high standards of honesty and integrity in all academic activities.  Academic dishonesty is prohibited. Academic misconduct includes, but is not limited to:
Plagiarism, cheating, and other forms of academic dishonesty are prohibited. Students guilty of academic misconduct, either directly or indirectly through participation or assistance, are subject to disciplinary action through the regular procedures of the student’s home institution.  In addition to other possible disciplinary sanctions that may be imposed, the instructor may have the authority to assign an "F" or zero for an activity or to assign an "F" for the course. 

Student ID’s

A Pellissippi student ID is the preferred form of identification to take a PSCC course exam and will provide students with the quickest and most accurate check-in service. Student IDs can be obtained on the Hardin Valley Campus at GN244 (near the top of the curved rotunda stairs in the Goins building) or at the Blount, Magnolia, or Strawberry Plains Campus Libraries which all have open hours on some evenings (). Government-issued photo IDS are also accepted. Photocopies, faxes, and smartphone photos of IDs will not be accepted.

No Personal Items Allowed

No personal items (watches, phones, bags, paper, food/drink, carried in clothing, hats/caps etc.) are allowed in the Testing Centers.

Testing Center Policies 

Testing Center Lockers are available for test takers on the first floor of the ERC building, but larger items such as large backpacks, motorcycle helmets, etc., will not fit in these lockers.
No personal items are allowed in the Testing Centers. This includes: 
 
You must show the proctor any allowed test materials (do not carry them in a bag). All materials will be examined by proctors. 
 
Violation of Testing Center policies will result in your immediate dismissal.

EXAMINEE MISCONDUCT 

The following behaviors are considered misconduct while taking an examination in the Testing Center: 
 
Engaging in misconduct may result in a failing grade and further disciplinary action, including but not limited to suspension of Testing Center privileges. 

Location and Hours

 

  • HV Testing Center will open January 21 for spring session.
  • Site Testing Centers (BC, MA, SP) will open Monday, January 26 for spring session.
  • The SP Testing Center will be closed for spring break March 9-15.
  • The HV Testing Center will be open for spring break March 9-13, 9am-3pm, but will be closed on Saturday, March 14.
  • Update: The BC, HV, MA, and SP Testing Centers will all be closed April 3-4.
  • Last day open for spring session: Friday, May 8.
  • Other possible unexpected closings will be posted as soon as possible.

Faculty can pick up tests in the Testing Centers during open hours, and at the HV campus on Monday, Thursday, and Friday beyond open hours until 3:30 p.m.
