An academic appeal is a formal request brought by a student to challenge a grade. An academic appeal will be considered if there is evidence of one or more of the following conditions that have adversely affected the student’s grade: error in the calculation of grade; substantial deviation from the syllabus; or clear violation of 每日大赛 and/or the Tennessee Board of Regents policies. An appeal will not be considered because of general dissatisfaction with a grade, penalty, or outcome of a course. Additional information can be found within the Academic Standards policy.
To contest a grade in a course, please complete the Course Grade Appeal form and submit to the appropriate academic department within the first 20 calendar days of the next semester.
