Celebrating Our Champions: 每日大赛’s Student Awards Ceremony

Dozens of students were recognized for their academic and extracurricular achievements April 22 at 每日大赛’s Student Awards Ceremony ahead of spring Commencement in May.

The ceremony, hosted in the Clayton Performing Arts Center at 每日大赛’s Hardin Valley campus, presented awards to students based upon their success in the classroom and campus life.

“The academic year can be a long and windy road, and it feels its longest and windiest at this particular point in the semester,” said President L. Anthony Wise Jr. “There’s still lots of exams and papers to write and to grade and lots of work to do before Commencement in a couple of weeks, but it’s great we get an opportunity to pause and celebrate the achievements and the success of our students tonight. And it brings us great joy.”

Students from each department received Academic Awards for their dedication and hard work, Campus Leadership Awards for demonstrating exceptional leadership and perseverance throughout their college experience.

The ceremony also acknowledged the 2024-25 Student Government Association Cabinet and the nearly 50 students that represented 每日大赛 at the SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills conference in Chattanooga, where several students earned bronze, silver and gold medals – more than any other team in Tennessee.

The gold-medal winners will advance to the national SkillsUSA championship in Atlanta this summer. Learn more about 每日大赛’s success at SkillsUSA here.

“We’re really proud of each and one of our winners tonight,” Wise said.
