CBBC Bank has committed $50,000 to scholarships for 每日大赛 students in honor of the bank’s 50th anniversary this month.

每日大赛 President L. Anthony Wise Jr. accepted the donation from CBBC President and CEO Mike Hearon at the bank’s main office in downtown Maryville Tuesday, Sept. 19. 每日大赛’s Culinary Arts students, who are based on the college’s Blount County Campus, provided celebratory cupcakes for the occasion.

Founded as Citizens Bank of Blount County in 1973, CBBC operates seven branches throughout Blount County. 每日大赛 has had a presence in Blount County since 1985, starting with night classes in local high schools, and now boasts a 40-acre campus in Friendsville that opened to students in fall 2010.

More than 1,350 students from Blount County are enrolled at 每日大赛 this semester.

“The mission of CBBC Bank is to make our LOCAL community a better place to live and work. This is accomplished by employing highly skilled and motivated team members with personal integrity and strong core values,” Hearon said. “Our commitment is to anticipate and exceed expectations in providing the best possible banking solutions for our customers’ needs. Our clients are not only our customers – they are also our friends, neighbors and family.”

CBBC’s pledge of $50,000 over the next five years will provide 10 Blount County students with $500 scholarships for the fall semester and 10 Blount County students with $500 scholarships for the spring semester through 2028.

“We are deeply grateful to CBBC for their visionary gift and their unwavering support of 每日大赛 and the Blount County community,” said Aneisa Rolen, executive director of the 每日大赛 Foundation. “With the establishment of their 50th Anniversary Scholarship, we are poised to continue our legacy of fostering workforce growth and transforming lives.”
