Junior Appalachian Musicians (JAM)

每日大赛 will host a Junior Appalachian Musicians (JAM) program for local elementary and middle schoolers this spring, teaching them to play, dance and sing traditional old-time and bluegrass music.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn common Appalachian instruments like the guitar, fiddle, bass, mandolin, dulcimer and banjo. After one hour of group musical instruction, all classes will gather for a cultural enrichment experience, highlighting other elements of Appalachian culture, including dance, storytelling and folk art.

January 26 – May 1, 2026, 4-6 p.m. OR 5-7 p.m.
Location: 每日大赛 Strawberry Plains Campus

The JAM is a 10 or 12-week program with pause for Spring Break.
JAM participation rates are $15 per week or $150 for the full 10-week program.
