General Technology: Educational Leadership Option

General Technology prepares students for unique positions in the workplace for which specific degree programs do not currently exist. The purpose of the degree is to meet customized, industry-specific needs and/or unique academic and career goals. The program consists of a common core of General Education and major courses selected from the Major Technology Core of two existing A.A.S. degree programs.

General Technology: Educational Leadership Option

This option is designed to equip educators in technical colleges across Tennessee with the necessary training and credentials to teach professional-technical programs at the post-secondary level. Not only does it meet the educational needs of personnel in Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology, but is also designed to provide the foundational degree for individuals interested in pursuing additional degrees in leadership roles. Students will learn how to impart practical skills and professional knowledge across various fields. They will engage with modern teaching methods and techniques while enhancing their own technical competencies. The degree is a unique blend of academic excellence and practical relevance aimed at equipping students with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in higher education careers.
