The Sociology Transfer Pathway (AA) provides strong preparation for transfer by combining foundational sociological theory, applied analysis, and a range of instructional approaches, including research-based and discussion-based learning, as well as experiential or project-based activities. Across the pathways, courses emphasize connecting sociological concepts to contemporary social issues, potential careers, and community contexts. This preparation supports students pursuing bachelor’s degrees and careers in areas such as social services, public policy, criminal justice, education, public health, nonprofit and community organizations, human resources, research, and advocacy, where understanding social structures, inequality, and human behavior is essential.
