The application and score for the Health Education Systems, Inc. (HESI) exam must be to the Nursing department by the deadline. If you take the HESI at Pellissippi, you do not need to do anything to get them sent to us. If you do not take the HESI at a Pellissippi testing center, you must have the scores sent to nursing@pstcc.edu from Elsevier. This process can take several weeks. We will not accept personal copies of the score sheet. It must come directly from Elsevier.
It is recommended that students complete non-nursing courses before beginning the traditional Nursing program. Prerequisites may apply to specific courses; it is the student’s responsibility to determine whether prerequisites have been met. All students must have a C or better in required math and science prerequisite courses. Science courses are only good for 5 years. Prior to registering each semester, the student is expected to consult with a Nursing pathway advisor.
