The animation concentration focuses on skills and knowledge required to succeed in the competitive fields of animation, motion graphics, visual effects and visualization. The curriculum begins by building an understanding of the history, major terms, concepts and techniques of animation. Industry-standard software and equipment are used to cover basic principles and progress through advanced tools and workflows used by studios for broadcast, film, visualization and game design.
Typical job opportunities: 2D animator, 3D animator, modeler, concept artist, motion graphics designer, visual development artist, storyboard artist, environment design artist and visual effects artist.
